Best of the Fringe Special - Comedy Club

Best of the Fringe Comedy Poster

Doors open at 8.00pm - Show starts at 9.00pm

This month we bring you a very special comedy club. We've picked the best acts performing at this year's Edinburgh Festival; GLENN WOOL, PETE JOHANSSON & LOST VOICE GUY. Holding the show together as MC is the fantastic Patrick Rolink!

Glenn began his comedy career in his hometown of Vancouver in 1995. He moved to London in 1998 and quickly became one of the rising stars of the London and international comedy circuit having performed in Australia, New Zealand, The USA, South Africa, Switzerland, France, Croatia and Arabia. Glenn was nominated for Best International Stand Up at The New Zealand Comedy Awards and Best Headliner at the Chortle Awards. Glenn is a regular TV face having made appearances on John Olivers New York Comedy Show (USA), Russell Howards Good News (UK), Never Mind The Buzzcocks, The BBC Stand Up Show & The Live Floor Show.

“Effortlessly funny with an affability that other comics can only dream of – You have to go and see Glenn Wool. ” - The Guardian

“Why aren't you in a queue somewhere buying a ticket?" - The Scotsman

The son of a professional ice-hockey player, this half-America, half-Canadian comic started stand-up in Vancouver, while still in high school. He started performing across the US following a successful appearance at the Montreal Just For Laughs festival.
He has had development deals with Warner Bros TV and HBO, and has made an hour-long special for The Comedy

“Supremely entertaining” - The Independent
“Provocative, surreal and moving.” - The List

Lee Ridley AKA Lost Voice Guy can't talk but isn’t silent. He is (probably) the first stand up comedian to use a communication aid.
He won the BBC New Comedy Award 2014 and has been commissioned to write a sitcom for BBC Radio 4, which is titled 'Ability'. This is due to be broadcast in 2018. Since making his first stand up performance in February 2012, Ridley has already gained quite a reputation for being both very funny and very unique. He has been described as “a wonderful comedian” by Little Britain’s Matt Lucas and has warmed up for the likes of Ross Noble, Patrick Kielty, Jason Manford and Jason Cook.

"Finding humour in strange places is one of Lost Voice Guy’s strengths." - The Guardian

"Funny, personal, occasionally shocking and frequently mischievous." - The Independent
