About the school
Drymen Primary School is a non-denominational school and was officially opened on 19 May 1991 and is a modern building on the outskirts of Drymen. During session 1997/98 the school was further developed with the addition of two extra teaching areas and hard standing playground.
The school is located on the outskirts of the village with outstanding views towards Conic Hill and Ben Lomond. The grounds around the school are extensive and include a large football pitch, a tarmac playground area with a separate area for P1 children and a small burn and wild area.
Education Scotland has responsibility for evaluating the quality of pre-school education, all schools, teacher education, community learning and development, further education and local authorities. They also publish reports about services for children and evaluate child protection services.
Each school has it own geographic area called a catchment area. Normally, your child will attend your local catchment school. If you wish your child to attend a school other than the catchment school you are required to make a placing request.
