About the school
Kincardine-in-Menteith Primary is a co-educational, non-denominational school for children from Primary 1 to Primary 7. The school occupies a picturesque site enjoying views across fields and woodland, next to Kincardine-in-Menteith church in Blairdrummond.
The school is registered as a listed building of historic and architectural interest. It celebrated its 150th Anniversary in October 2005.
Parents, staff and children have developed the grounds of the school which include the woodland, the school garden, the den building area and the bird watching area. Within the garden we have wildlife areas and a willow dome. The children also have the use of the playing field behind the woodland.
Education Scotland has responsibility for evaluating the quality of pre-school education, all schools, teacher education, community learning and development, further education and local authorities. They also publish reports about services for children and evaluate child protection services.
Each school has it own geographic area called a catchment area. Normally, your child will attend your local catchment school. If you wish your child to attend a school other than the catchment school you are required to make a placing request.
