About the school
St Ninians Primary School is situated one mile south of the centre of the historic City of Stirling. Originally a village school built in 1875, it was first extended in 1892 and later in the early 60s. The community has recently been provided with a brand new, state of the art building which the school moved into in October 2016. The new school has capacity for 16 classes, has a large Dining/Multi-Purpose Hall, a large Games Hall and large breakout spaces.
The nursery currently operates from two of the classrooms, but in August 2017, they will move into their permanent, newly refurbished nursery in the grounds of the old school.
Education Scotland has responsibility for evaluating the quality of pre-school education, all schools, teacher education, community learning and development, further education and local authorities. They also publish reports about services for children and evaluate child protection services.
Each school has it own geographic area called a catchment area. Normally, your child will attend your local catchment school. If you wish your child to attend a school other than the catchment school you are required to make a placing request.
