Stirling Marathon - Sunday 21 May 2017

ZOLA BUDD, one of the most recognisable names in Olympic history, is to compete in the Stirling Scottish Marathon on Sunday 21 May 2017. 

She will be joined by Scotland's greatest-ever distance runner Liz McColgan, who was recently announced as an ambassador for the Great Run British Marathon Series, for the 26.2 mile challenge in the heart of Scotland  

How to Enter

You can enter through the Great Run Website. Destined to become one of the UK's greatest road running events.

The Course

Starting at Blair Drummond Safari Park, with some of the exotic animals to bid your farewell,  the course takes in the historic Doune Village and the famous Doune Castle, where Monty Python and the Holy Grail was filmed, heading on through through the beautiful towns of Dunblane, home of Wimbledon Winner, Andy Murray and onto the picturesque town of Bridge of Allan and by the Allan river, around Stirling's University, carrying on past the famous Wallace Monument to end up under the historic Stirling Castle in city centre of Stirling.

This will be a marathon unlike any other, the fast and flat course will provide an amazing experience for experienced and first time runners with the beautiful scenery of Stirling to take in.

Run for Charity 

Raising money for charity is a big part of the Stirling Scottish Marathon for many runners.
You may be able to run for a charity by agreeing to raise sponsorship money.
