Local Housing Strategy
Local Housing Strategy 2012
Stirling's Local Housing Strategy (LHS) is one of the Council's key planning documents. It was approved by the Council in December 2012 and can be downloaded here.
Strategic Housing Forum
The LHS was developed in tandem with the Council's Local Development Plan and jointly with partner agencies in the Strategic Housing Forum.
Housing Need and Demand Assessment 2011
A core document for the LHS and the Council's Local Development Plan is the Housing Need and Demand Assessment (HNDA). The Council’s HNDA was submitted to the Centre for Housing Market Analysis (part of The Scottish Government) and was approved as 'robust and credible’ in July 2011.
Information about more localised housing needs is provided in the 29 LHS Area Profiles.
For each of the five Sections of the LHS, there is a more detailed Consultation Report which is available to download below:
- The Need & Demand for Housing
- House Condition, Energy Efficiency & Fuel Poverty
- Viable & Sustainable Communities
- Particular Housing Needs
A copy of the LHS Equalities Impact Assessment is available here
