Grants up to £10,000 are available.
The fund builds on work begun last year and seeks to encourage sustainability in local food systems; however, a small allocation is specifically ring-fenced for crisis/emergency food supplies through Food Banks, Larders and similar. Projects should help to deliver local action on at least one of the following priority areas:
- Improving access to, and promotion of, good quality, healthy and sustainable food
- Addressing food insecurity; tackling food poverty, diet related ill health, and access to affordable, healthy food
- Increasing access to food education, particularly in community settings; building community food knowledge, skills, resources, and projects
The fund is open to constituted third sector/community groups, internal Stirling Council Services, and community planning partner public sector agencies delivering eligible projects within Stirling’s communities.
