Under the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011, Scottish public authorities must:
- produce a records management plan and
- submit it to the Keeper of the Records of Scotland
To ensure the Council complies with this act, it carries out a self-assessment which is reviewed by the Keeper of the Records. The council produced it's most recent self-assessment in 2018.
