- Review of Polling Districts - Closed January 2019
Polling Districts
Summary: Every local authority is required to review polling districts and polling places every five years to ensure it provides reasonable facilities for voting and that polling places are accessible to all electors, including voters with a disability, so far as is practicable.
Dates: Closed January 2019
Outcome: A report went to Council and they agreed on the new arrangements for polling districts and polling places.

- Review of Education Provision at Baker Street Nursery and Allan's Primary School
Summary: A consultation on the Council’s proposal that Baker Street Nursery is permanently amalgamated with Allan’s Primary School and becomes Allan’s Primary School Nursery.
Dates: Monday 30 September 2019 to Friday 29 November 2019
Outcome: On 4 June 2020, the full Stirling Council Committee approved the proposal to review the education provision at Baker Street Nursery and Allan’s Primary School. The Committee was satisfied to take this decision in accordance with the Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Act 2010 As Amended.
The Committee approved: That Baker Street Nursery is permanently amalgamated with Allan’s Primary School and becomes Allan’s Primary School Nursery with effect from 17 August 2020.

Summary: Consultation over a fresh guidance document on the Scottish Schools (Parental Involvement) Act
Dates: Jan - April 2020
Outcome: Parents know their children best and children do better when parents are involved and engaged with their learning. In 2006 the Scottish Parliament passed the Scottish Schools (Parental Involvement) Act. This important law sets out how schools and councils must work to support parents to be involved in the life and work of our schools and in their children’s learning.

Summary: In September 2016, a pilot was established to trial the shared headship of Doune Nursery and Doune Primary School. The pilot has been in place for over two years and has been very successful, this proposal is to now formally amalgamate Doune Nursery with Doune Primary School.
Dates: Closed March 2019
Outcome: At a meeting on 25 April 2019, the Children and Young People Committee agreed to the formal amalgamation of Doune Nursery and Doune Primary School. This took effect from 19 August 2019. - Review of Education Provision at Trossachs Primary School
Summary: Scottish Ministers have reviewed Stirling Council’s Proposal Paper and Consultation Report relating to the proposal to permanently close Trossachs Primary School.
Dates: Closed early 2019
Outcome: Education provision at Trossachs Primary School will cease permanently with effect from 5 July 2019; Pupils of Trossachs Primary School catchment will continue their education as currently, that is, at Callander Primary School or whichever school they are currently attending;

The Council’s Annual Rent Consultation survey for 2020/21
Summary: Between November 2019 and early January 2020, tenants were asked to choose between a rise of 3.2% or 4.0% to fund the estimated cost pressures faced by the Housing Service in the coming financial year.
A total of 843 responses were received, with 77% of tenants who responded in favour of the lower 3.2% increase

Local Housing Strategy Consultation
Summary: The Local Housing Strategy (LHS) is a key document which sets out priorities and plans for the delivery of housing and related services in Stirling over the next five years.

Summary: In support of the community-led Balfron Active Places project, an extensive period of community engagement and consultation was undertaken between February and October 2019 to develop active travel and streetscape improvement proposals into detailed design projects reflective of the views of stakeholders.
Dates: Closed October 2019
Outcome: The final developed designs, which have been approved by the Balfron Community Council, Stirling Council and Sustrans Scotland, are reflective of this robust consultation process.

Electric Vehicles Engagement Survey
Summary: This information will help inform feasibility studies that Transport Scotland has funded Energy Saving Trust to deliver for a number of Scottish local authorities.
Dates: Closed 14 March 2020
Outcome: The total number of respondents across the 11 local authority surveys was 3,282, with 343 of these in Stirling. The results of the survey will be included in a feasibility study conducted by Energy savings trust. The survey will provide the Council with a number of recommendations relating to future electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
