The Local Housing Strategy (LHS) is a key document which sets out priorities and plans for the delivery of housing and related services in Stirling over the next five years.

Consultation

The Council is currently developing the next LHS and we want to hear your thoughts on what you would like to see happen in your community.

There are a number of ways you can get involved:

  1. You can complete our online surveys below. Each survey should only take a few minutes to complete and you also have the opportunity to enter a prize draw for taking part.
  2. Look out for our postbox surveys which will be placed in local shops, community and council buildings. Perfect for those who want to get involved but are short on time.
  3. Speak in person to our Strategy & Development team, who will be out and about at various events over the coming months. 

We can provide our surveys in other accessible formats (such as printed, audio or translated into another language). If you would prefer a survey in another format, please contact us.

General LHS Survey

Do you live in the Stirling local authority area? We want to hear your views about housing.

The LHS document will cover a range of housing-related issues including affordable housing, energy efficiency, homelessness, independent living and care &support services. We are keen to hear about your housing experiences and what you value. This information will help us to develop clear objectives for the LHS.

The closing date for survey responses is Friday 1st March 2019.

Private Rented Sector Survey

Are you a private tenant, landlord or letting agent living or working within the Stirling local authority area? We want to hear from you.

The private rented sector makes up 16% of the housing market in the Stirling area and has an important role to play in providing good quality homes for many households.The sector has undergone massive change in the past few years and your experiences will provide a valuable insight into the positive and negative aspects of private renting.  

This information will help us to develop new strategies to support landlords, tenants and letting agents to improve Stirling’s private rented sector.
