The UK Parliamentary constituency covers the whole of the Stirling Council area. The Holyrood constituency of Stirling covers most of the Stirling Council area; a south-eastern portion, is covered by the Mid Scotland and Fife constituency of Ochil.

Verification and Counting of Votes – Sunday 26 May 2019
The verification and counting of votes for the Stirling counting area will take place in the Albert Halls, Dumbarton Road, Stirling on Sunday 26 May 2019 commencing at 6.30pm.
There will be a limited number of spectator tickets for the balcony area of the Albert Halls for members of the public and party supporters. Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Anyone interested in obtaining a spectator ticket should contact the Election Office on 01786 233097/233095 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Spectators wishing to attend must contact the election office in advance of the day of the election as no access will be given to people turning up on the night. Spectators will require to bring along proof of ID before they will be admitted to the count venue and be prepared to have their bag searched.
As with all local authorities in Scotland, we have a number of multi-member wards electing Councillors under the Single Transferable Vote System.
The 7 wards are:

- Dunblane & Bridge of Allan
- Forth & Endrick
- Stirling East
- Stirling West
- Trossachs and Teith
