I am a Councillor for Stirling West and hail originally from the St Ninians area of Stirling. Until recently I worked as a Geographical Information Services consultant for a local company. I attended Stirling High School and Edinburgh University, graduating with an MA in Politics and Economic History. I also completed an MSC in GIS. I am a keen motorcyclist - driving a Harley Davidson 883 sportster and an am enthusiastic, if untalented, musician - keenly playing guitar, violin and piano. Before being elected as a Councillor in 2007, I had a career in retail management, working in specialist retail for a major national supermarket chain. I also served as Vice-President of Edinburgh University Union in 2003. During that time I developed a love of craft beer and whisky which I still enjoy to this day. I am now Leader of the Conservative Group at Stirling Council and Convenor of the Audit Committee. I also serve on a number of other committees and an opposition spokesperson for Finance and Economy.
All other surgeries will be attended by any one of the councillors in your ward.
