About the school
Cambusbarron Primary School serves the community of Cambusbarron and is situated on the southwest perimeter of Stirling. The school has commanding views of the Ochil Hills and Forth Valley. Our extensive grounds enhance outdoor learning and are used regularly to develop children’s experience and understanding of their environment.
The building is on three levels and accommodates ten classrooms. We have a large gym hall with an adjacent dining room. We use this space regularly to provide opportunities for children to be physically active, to meet as a whole school for assembly and as an area to showcase learning and achievement with parents and the wider community. We have created an additional space for children which we call the Discovery Den. This is an area where pupils’ health and wellbeing development can be supported. Our nursery is housed in a mobile facility to the side of the main school building.
Education Scotland has responsibility for evaluating the quality of pre-school education, all schools, teacher education, community learning and development, further education and local authorities. They also publish reports about services for children and evaluate child protection services.
Each school has it own geographic area called a catchment area. Normally, your child will attend your local catchment school. If you wish your child to attend a school other than the catchment school you are required to make a placing request.
