About the school
Gargunnock Primary School was opened in 1977 and replaced the old school, now the village
Community Centre which was built in 1858.
Our school plays an important part in contributing to the village’s very strong community spirit and will continue to value its role in this area.
The communal areas are colourful and welcoming to visitors with attractive displays relating to various aspects of school life. Each classroom is brightly painted and equipped with an interactive whiteboard, and displays the learning of the children creatively.
Education Scotland has responsibility for evaluating the quality of pre-school education, all schools, teacher education, community learning and development, further education and local authorities. They also publish reports about services for children and evaluate child protection services.
Each school has it own geographic area called a catchment area. Normally, your child will attend your local catchment school. If you wish your child to attend a school other than the catchment school you are required to make a placing request.
