About the school
St Margaret’s RC Primary School is situated in the village of Cowie, some five miles to the east of Stirling. The school was built in 1915 and an extension was added in 1961. The current building is no longer fit for purpose to deliver a 21st century education and a new school is planned, opening in the Spring of 2016. This project will deliver, for the village, a replacement primary school, a new 0-5 nursery provision and a community hall. The school provides denominational primary education for children of parents living in Cowie and the neighbouring villages of Fallin, Plean and Throsk.
Education Scotland has responsibility for evaluating the quality of pre-school education, all schools, teacher education, community learning and development, further education and local authorities. They also publish reports about services for children and evaluate child protection services.
