If you are unable to get to your local library due to age or disability, the library service can arrange for books to be delivered to you in your own home. We can also deliver to you on a temporary basis following an operation or accident where you cannot get to the library. We deliver throughout the Stirling Council area and there is no charge for this service.

As well as a selection of large and ordinary print books, we have a wide range of books on CD and downloadable audio. We can supply reading aids e.g. magnifying bookmarks and cd players when available.

After an initial visit by a member of the Outreach Team, your books will be delivered monthly by one of our volunteers or by library staff.

Please telephone 01786 237549 or email libraryoutreach@stirling.gov.uk for further information.

The Outreach team also delivers to residential care homes, sheltered housing and other centres. They hold a range of events throughout the year such as author visits and reminiscence sessions, and distribute a seasonal newsletter.
