Parking for people with mobility issues
The Blue Badge scheme helps people with mobility problems to park closer to the place where they're going.
If the badge holder is a car driver or passenger, they can park in some areas for free. This includes at on-street parking meters, pay and display bays and disabled parking spaces.
Privately operated carparks, such as those at supermarkets and shopping centres, may have designated areas for Blue Badge holders.
The Scottish LEZ Blue Badge Exemption System is live for personal Blue Badge holders to register their vehicles for a LEZ exemption. The Vehicle Checker is also available on the LEZ website allowing members of the public to check if their vehicle will comply with LEZ standards.

Cost
There is a £20 fee for a Blue Badge. You will pay this to Stirling Council after your application has been approved.
How to apply
You can apply online at the UK Government website. It can take up to 28 working days to process your application. If your application is approved you'll get a letter about payment and delivery. If your application is refused you can ask Stirling Council to review the decision. You must do this within four weeks of receipt of your refusal letter.
You must provide an email address if you would like an automated reminder around 12 weeks before your current badge expires.

Alternatively, you can take your completed form to the travel centre at Stirling Bus Station. If you have an existing blue badge there are two disabled parking bays between Stirling bus station and the Railway station.
We aim to deal with all paper applications within 28 working days.
