A guide to Stirling bus station, including information on opening times, bus services, accessibility and getting help from our travel centre.

Opening hours

The concourse is open while bus services operate.

Our indoor facilities (except for the ticket office and travel centre) are open:

  • Monday to Saturday, 6:40am to 7pm
  • Sunday, 10:10am to 5:30pm

How to buy tickets

One Ticket mobile app

You can use the One Ticket app to purchase tickets. It also allows you to use your phone as your ticket. It can be downloaded on the app stores below.

Ticket office and travel centre

Our ticket office and travel centre can provide:

  • travel information
  • tickets for Scottish Citylink and National Express services

You can buy tickets for all other services on the bus.

With the exception of demand-responsive transport services, all operators accept contactless debit and credit cards on all their services.

Travel centre staff can also help you with an application for:

  • a Blue Badge (if you have an existing blue badge and visiting the bus station, there are two Blue Badge parking spaces on Goosecroft Road next to the  bus exit from the bus station. There are also disabled spaces in the adjacent Thistles Shopping Centre)
  • a National Entitlement Card
  • under-22s bus travel

The centre is open Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 4:15pm.

Smoking policy

Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is not permitted in any part of the bus station. This includes:

  • the concourse
  • bus stances
  • bus operational areas

Please dispose of butts appropriately and avoid smoking at the exit.

Bus service information

Toilets

The bus station's toilets are open:

  • Monday to Saturday, 6:40am to 7pm
  • Sunday, 10:10am to 5pm

Contact a member of staff if you need access to the baby changing facilities.

You can access the disabled toilet by RADAR key or by contacting a member of staff.

These are available from 10am to 4pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Lost property

If you've lost an item in the bus station, you can either:

  • visit the station travel centre
  • call us on 01786 237 500 during opening hours

We only keep property that was lost within the station itself.

If you've lost an item on a bus, please contact the service operator.

There is no left luggage facility at the station.

Café

The station café is currently closed.

Security

The bus station is covered by CCTV. On-site security officers are in attendance.

Onward transport

Rail

Stirling railway station is a few minutes' walk from the bus station.

Taxi

There's a taxi rank next to stance 12(bus station) and on Station Road opposite Stirling rail station. 

Parking

Cars

There's a pay and display car park next to the bus station in the Thistles shopping centre.

Bicycles

There's unsecured cycle parking at the entrance to the bus station. Stirling Council does not assume responsibility for stolen or damaged bikes.

There are also cycle lockers near the bus station entrance. You can book these in advance, and a year's rental costs £20. Email stewartc@stirling.gov.uk for information.

Additional bicycle spaces are available at Stirling rail station.

Other facilities nearby

Thistles shopping centre is next to the bus station. This has:

  • toilets and baby changing facilities
  • cash machines
  • a photo booth
  • a postbox
  • several cafés and coffee bars
