Young people aged 5 to 21 will be able to access the new free bus scheme from 31 January 2022 using the National Entitlement Card (NEC) or Young Scot branded NEC.

Transport Scotland have launched an app for 16-22s who have an existing Young Scot Card issued after 2016. This app will allow young people to add the travel element onto their card instantly and is available for download in the Appstore and Google Play.
