Licensing Policy Statement
It is a requirement of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 that the Board updates its Statement of Licensing Policy every 3 years.
The Board approved its Statement of Licensing Policy on 30 November 2016, this includes a statement on over provision of licensed premises.
The Board approved the Licensing Board Financial Statement on 28 June 2017.
Police Scotland's response to over provision.
The 2nd consultation period for the District of Stirling Licensing Policy Statement ended on 15 July 2018 and the Board would like to thank those who responded.
The responses have been collated and the Board would now like to seek your views on the updated draft policy which incorporates some changes in light of the comments received.
Further taking into account the responses received the Board would now propose to examine the Stirling city centre area, as defined in the attached map, for the purposes of determining whether there is over provision of licensed premises.The Board would welcome any views from members of the public on whether there is over provision of licensed premises in the defined area. The Board is particularly keen to examine the impact of on-sales premises in the locality.
