Stirling Food Survey
Would you like to or are you already growing your own fruit and vegetables close to where you live or work?
The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 requires each local authority to prepare a food growing strategy for its area to identify land that may be used as allotment sites, identify other areas of land that could be used for community growing, and describe how the authority intends to increase provision for community growing, in particular in areas which experience socio-economic disadvantage
Stirling Council is working with national charity greenspace scotland to develop a Food Growing Strategy for the Stirling area and we need local people to tell us why, where and how they would like to be growing their own food.
If you are growing already - you could be a member of a community garden, a garden volunteer with the local school or an allotment plot holder - then we would like to hear from you.
If you are not growing anything but you would like to give it a try - then we would also like to hear from you!Our online survey only takes a few minutes to complete. Survey closes Fri 14th Dec 2018.

“development that meets the needs of the present, without compromising the ability of future generations."
Sustainable development involves more than just protecting the environment and includes making sure that we create the circumstances for everyone to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives without destroying opportunities for future generations or our neighbours across the world.
Sustainability is as concerned with equality, health, employment, leisure, and freedom from crime as it is about protecting biological diversity and reducing waste.
Environmental, economic and social wellbeing for today and tomorrow
