Reshaping older people's care
Across Stirling and Clackmannanshire, it's estimated that the number of people aged over 75 years will almost double in the next 20 years. People are living longer and healthier lives but this also means that in later life more people are requiring health and social care.
Social Services work in partnership with NHS Forth Valley to bring transformational change to the delivery of care for older people. This includes development of:
- Intermediate care (Reablement, Crisis Care, Rehabilitation at Home, Intermediate care within a care home, Telecare)
- Therapeutic Day support
- Falls prevention services
These services have successfully supported independence from formal care services for many older people.
